On May 11, 2020 the Cleo Integration Cloud Certificate will EXPIRE.
WHO will be impacted
You will be impacted if you are connecting to CIC (https://cleointegration.cloud) or any of its subdomains either directly, as a Cleo customer, or as a partner of a Cleo customer.
For Cleo Managed Services Customers: If you are a subscriber to Cleo's Cloud Managed Services, there is no action required. Our cloud experts will complete the cert update within the Cloud Environment.
For Partners of Cleo Managed Services Customers: Please check your connections to determine if you connect to Cleo Cloud over SSL using CleoIntegration_Cloud cert that has an expiration date of May 17, 2020. If so, you need to trust the new cert before May 11th.
If you do not use the CleoIntegration_Cloud cert: With an expiration date in May, 2020, no action is required.
WHAT to do if you are impacted
If you are connecting to CIC over SFTP, FTPs, HTTPS, OFTP, or SMTP (over SSL) without signing and/or encryption, download the CIC public certificate below and TRUST this certificate in any system that connects to CIC prior to May 11th, 2020. Failure to do so might result in connection errors.
If you are signing and/or encrypting payloads (using any of the protocols above) OR you are connecting to CIC using AS2, the Cleo Services team will reach out to you over the next month to work with you directly to upgrade your signing and encryption certificates as needed.
Here are some common questions and answers regarding this certificate expiration.
Q : How often will this happen?
A : Cleo's server certificate will expire every two years. For encryption and signing certificates, customers and trading partners will be notified directly when their certificates are close to expiration.
Q : Are my partners impacted?
A : All partners are potentially impacted. For Cleo’s server certificate, most partners will not need to do anything. If partners require a certificate to trust, they need to add the new certificate provided by Cleo as "trusted" to continue transacting with Cleo without disruption.
Q : Am I responsible for communicating with my partners?
A : Cleo has initiated an email campaign to inform Cloud Managed Services clients and their trading partner communities of the upcoming certificate expiration. Cleo will send a total of 4 notifications as a reminder of the upcoming expiration. Please feel free to direct inquiries from your trading partners to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q : Do I need to reach out to Cleo or is Cleo going to reach out to me?
A : Cleo Services will contact partners connecting to CIC with signing and encryption only. Otherwise, partners are advised to update their Cleo certificate by trusting it in all systems needing to connect to Cleo Integration Cloud before May 11th, 2020.
