Use the Expected Volume area to specify the number and type of documents you expect to send or receive during a given time interval.
Document Type and Message Property Conditions
Select the document type to trigger the SLA. As an option, you can specify conditions based on document properties. This constrains the triggering event to sending or receiving only the document type that meets the conditions defined in the "where" statement.
Note: Message property availability is based on data displayed in the Cockpit for messages already processed by CIC. You can control what data is displayed in the Cockpit. For information on configuration, see Working with the list of Message Properties.
When conditions are met, the SLA triggers and badges appear on the message that triggered the SLA and the message sent or received as a response.
- Specify the number of documents you want to use to trigger the SLA. Then, click Select Document and choose from the Doc Type list.
- After you select a document type, you can click the Add button to add a condition or where statement.
- Select any or all. When you select any, only one condition must be met to trigger the SLA. When you select all, then all conditions must be met to trigger the SLA.
- Select a property to be the basis of the condition. The selected document type determines which properties are available in this list.
Note: Only document types that CIC has already processed at least once will have message properties available on this list. In addition, message properties must be made available to CIC Cockpit. This requires using the same process used to display message data in Cockpit. See Customizing the Message Properties list.
- Select an operator and specify a value to compare against the message property. Choose from the following operators:
- is
- is not
- Optionally, click the Add button to create another condition.
- Click OK to close the dialog box and update the SLA.
Note: You must still click Save to save your work.
Send or Receive
Specify whether you want to monitor documents you send or documents you receive.
Time Interval
Specify a time interval you want to monitor. You can choose between a Simple or Advanced interval.
Note: RADAR does not support time changes, for example, moving from Daylight Savings Time to Standard Time. Instead, you must manually change the time and/or time zone when appropriate to ensure your SLAs continue to work as expected.
Simple Time Interval
A simple time interval can be defined as “Every x number of hours, days, or weeks starting on a specific date and time relative to a timezone” and whether to consider business days, business hours, or holidays. See Business Hours and Holidays.
Advanced Time Interval
While an Advanced Time Interval is more complex than a simple one, it is also more flexible. For an Advanced Time Interval, you always specify days of the week and some time-of-day parameters.
Day of the week
You can select any or all of the days of the week. Use the Select weekdays button to toggle weekdays (Monday through Friday) on and off.
Time of day
You can select from several different time-of-day parameters, as shown below. Each of the time parameters includes a time zone of your choice.
Before a specific time:
Between two specific times:
After a specific time:
By end of day:
Except holidays
Click the Except on holidays check box to exclude holidays from consideration for time intervals. This means any event that falls on a holiday (even if it meets the other time interval criteria) is not used to trigger an SLA. See Business Hours and Holidays.
