How to upgrade VersaLex on AIX

Since AIX updates ended with v5.6.1.0, the security fix has been applied to v5.6.0.0 of the product and is available in v5.6.0.2. The following steps outline how to upgrade to v5.6.0.2:

1. If not currently on v5.6.0.x, download the installer using this download link:
   https://download.cleo.com/download/LexiComDL.asp?SN=XX####-XX####&OS=AIX&PROD=LexiCom&VERSION=5.6.0.0
   • replace the SN=value with your installation serial number
   • replace the PROD=value with VLTrader or Harmony as applicable.
2. Stop the product service/daemon.
3. Copy the installer file to the VersaLex install folder, stop the product service/daemon, and run the following command:

   ./install.bin -i console

4. Once on v5.6.0.x, download the patch using this download link:
   https://download.cleo.com/download/LexiComDL.asp?SN=XX####-XX####&OS=AIX&PROD=LexiCom&VERSION=5.6.0.0&PATCH=Y
   • replace the SN=value with your installation serial number
   • replace the PROD=value with VLTrader or Harmony as applicable.
5. Copy the patch zip to the VersaLex install folder, stop the product service/daemon if not already, and run the following command:
   ./LexiComc -i 0.2.zip -m\
6. Restart the product service/daemon.
