Available Permissions for Security

This topic describes available security permissions as part of Access Control. These security permissions, for the most part, are grouped by the specific Admin Console view where actual functionality can be managed.

Access Control view

PermissionDescription
Add/Modify/Delete Users, Roles, and LDAP Profiles.Manage access to remote servers, including LDAP Servers. Assigned to Admin profile only.

Activity Monitor view

PermissionDescription
Modify Queue SettingsEdit, suspend, and resume queues (and suspend and resume Worker Nodes in a Server Cluster environment).

Auditor view

PermissionDesctiption
View Log DataView raw data from within the Log Entries section of the Auditor.
Change Log Status, Change Ack Status, Delete Log Entries

Access the toolbar buttons on Log Entries, which include the ability to:

  • change log status
  • change acknowledgement status at interchange level for Outbound EDI logs
  • delete logs at any level
Reprocess LogsReprocess logs from Log Entries.

Business Process (& Settings) views

PermissionDescription
Launch BP/Relaunch Last BP/Add Startup BP/Enable-Disable Startup BP/Remove StartupBPManage Business Processes from both Business Process and Settings views.
Edit Inbound Connection Log DataCreate connection logs for Inbound Messaging Adapters.

Dashboard (not part of Admin Console)

PermissionDescription
View Dashboard ServiceProvides access for Dashboard reports and data retrieval.

Projects view

PermissionDescription
Deploy/Undeploy ProjectsDeploy/Undeploy Projects to/from a remote server.

Resource Monitors view

PermissionDescription
Start/Stop Monitors and Web Service ProvidersStart and stop different resource monitors (file, database, e-mail) and Web Service Providers.

Settings view

PermissionDescription
Add/Delete SSH KeyAdd or delete SSH Keys.
Add/Remove Exit Point EventEdit Exit Point configuration.
Import/Export/Delete SSL Cert/KeyManage SSL Certifications and keys in the Keystore manager.
Modify Control NumbersEdit Control Numbers.
Modify Email SettingsEdit email settings and values.
Modify Global VariablesEdit Global Variable values.
Modify Next NumbersEdit Next Number key values.
Access Content in VaultCreate, delete, and update auth info inside an Auth Vault entry.

Server Environment (Admin Console toolbar)

PermissionDescription
Apply LicenseView, request, and apply licensing to the studio.
Apply Selected Server UpdatesApply updates to a remote server.
Suspend/Resume ServerSuspend and Resume a remote server.

Web Services Authorization (not part of Admin Console)

PermissionDescription
Authorize Web Service Provider ConnectionsEnables Authorization in Web Service Providers
