Defining this object indicates the target port and the Event to be launched upon incoming message detection.
These steps take place in the Harmony Monitor editor, which has these sections: Event and Settings.
- Under Settings, type the port number in the Clarify Listen Port field. This correlates to the outbound settings found in the Clarify Connection in Harmony. (You can also use a Global Variable).
- (Optional) Select or create the Event that the monitor will launch. Place your cursor in the Event field and select from a list of existing Events.
Note: When messages are received and no Event is selected from this editor, Clarify, by default, searches through all deployed Message Filters for a matching condition or rule, and then launches whichever related Events are defined in the Message Filters. (Recommended) Only select the Event directly from the Harmony Monitor editor when you wish for one specific Event to be triggered upon message detection on the specified port. (A one-to-one relationship)
- (Optional) To enable the monitor to automatically start whenever the Clarify Server starts (eliminating the need for a manual start), select the Run as service checkbox.
Note: Not selecting this requires you to manually start the Harmony Monitor from Admin Console | Resource Monitors. Generally you would select this once you've tested in the Local Test server.
