Several terms are used throughout this topic and will be useful to understand.
Server Environment: The Server Environment drop-down in the Studio Admin Console (shown here) which displays all the servers previously configured in the Studio. This is how the Studio connects to a server (for deployment, etc). The server displayed in this drop-down is referenced as the connected server for our purposes.
Local Vault: Refers to the vault that is contained within and running as part of a particular Clarify server. Every Clarify server has a local vault.
Remote Vault: Refers to a vault in another server that the connected server can access.
Alias: The name that identifies a vault entry. The Alias name is how a Web Service Consumer object knows which auth info to use when making actual calls to the external Web Service.
Vault Entry Environment: Represents different external application environments that you could potentially call with Clarify Web Services.
