Starting Objects

In your transformation Project, there may be certain objects that must be started (or launched in the case of Business Processes) in order to test and use; the object can't perform its intended function until it has actually started, even after it has been promoted. Examples include Cloud Monitors and Business Processes.  Note: Only objects that have been promoted can be activated.

Business Processes

Business Processes can be activated directly from the Admin Console's Business Process view.

Use the Launch Business Process button  to manually launch a selected Business Process. A previously launched Business Process can also be launched using the Relaunch Last Business Process button on the main menu bar of the Admin Console.

Keep in mind that a Business Process can also be activated by:

• Events
• Rulesets
• Other Business Processes

Cloud Monitors

In older generations of the CIC, Cloud Monitors can be started and stopped in two different ways: manually through the Admin Console, or as a service. From the Resource Monitor section, select the object you wish to start and click Start .

The monitor must be deployed before activation can take place.
