Cleo Harmony® 6.0 System Requirements

Hardware

• Dual core processor required, Quad core processor or higher recommended
• 4 GB RAM minimum, 8 GB RAM recommended
• 100Mbit network connection (Gigabit recommended)
• Must have a properly configured Internet connection
• Minimum of 1 GB of disk space for the Cleo application and associated files (2 GB recommended)
• Disk space required for transferred files depends on number of trading partners, file sizes, and volume (recommended minimum 5 MB per trading partner)
• Additional disk space for logging is required, average of 50 KB per transfer (or 50 GB disk space needed for every 1 million transfers), and depending on purge settings.
• Minimum of 500 MB of temporary space

Note: Greater hardware requirements may be necessary depending upon the number of trading partners/simultaneous connections desired. Greater hardware requirements may also be necessary depending upon your choice of Operating System.

Java Runtime Environment

Cleo Harmony currently ships with the version of JRE listed below as appropriate for the installation:

• Eclipse Temurin Java 8 OpenJDK
• IBM FIPS 140-3 Windows Java 8

 Other Requirements

• The computer must have a static IP address (or use Cleo VLProxy in front of it).
• Firewall: appropriate IP addresses and ports must be open based on configuration and trading partners.
• Should be run on a dedicated computer (not co-located with a Web Server) for optimal performance.
• For Windows: install as a Windows Service. Windows services run under a local system account and do not see mapped network drives — use UNC paths.
• For Linux: Java uses random number generation; on headless systems install haveged or equivalent. OpenJDK requires fontconfig for Web UI (yum install fontconfig on RHEL, apt-get install libfontconfig1 on Ubuntu). Rocky Linux native + Web UI: dnf install libXext libXrender libXtst xorg-x11-fonts*

AS/400 Network Access Requirements

Cleo Harmony can integrate with AS/400 file system shares, both IFS and NFS. The following AS/400 OS versions are supported.

• Client & Server implementations of OFTP
• OFTP over TCP/IP supported on all platforms
• OFTP over ISDN supported on Windows platform only; ISDN card must support CAPI 2.0
• Supported ISDN cards: Eicon Diva PCI · AVM Fritz!Card PCI (not recommended for high volume/large files)
