Issue:
Web Service Consumer is unable to connect to REST Web Service.
Error message:
Error executing request. sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
Resolution:
The Keystore Manager provides a storage facility for cryptographic keys and certificates. This utility enables you to view, import, export or delete trusted certificates for use with an SFTP Adapter or Web Service Consumer.
To resolve this error you must download the appropriate certificates from Chrome, or Edge and import the certificates into the Keystore Manager.
In Chrome:
Browse to the Web Service URL and click on the lock icon in the URL:
Click on Certificate
Click Details, and then click Copy to File... then click Next.
Keep the default DER encoded binary X.509 (.CER) then click Next.
Click Browse... Browse to the location that you wish to save the file to, and provide a name for the file. Click Save, then click Next.
Finally, click Finish.
Click on the Certification Path tab.
Repeat these steps until you have downloaded all of the certs shown in the Certification Path.
Once all of the certificates are downloaded you can import them into the Clarify Keystore Manager.
To import the certs into the Keystore Manager, navigate to the Admin Console.
In the Admin Console go to the Settings tab.
In the Settings tab open the Keystore Manager.
In the upper-right-hand corner click on the Import icon.
Keep the default Certificates option under Type of Import. Click the folder icon to browse to the location of the certificate.
For the Alias give the certificate a meaningful name, and then click Import. Repeat these steps to import all downloaded certificates.
