In the D365 SCM ERP instance, take these steps before creating data projects.
- Enable the Create error file in Data Management Framework parameters.
- Refresh Entity list
Configuring Data projects in D365 SCM
All steps take place in the Modules>System administration> Data Management section of D365 SCM.
Steps below describe the configuration of these data projects:
- Sales Order
- Sales Order Confirmation
- ASN
- Invoice
- Warehouse Shipping Order
- Inventory Inquiry/Advice
- Order Status Report
- Grocery Order
- Customer Payment Order
- Grocery Invoice
- Sales Order Change Confirmation
- Credit/Debit Adjustment
Sales Order
- Create an import project using an identifiable GroupName and Description.
- To add a new entity, the following options need to be selected.
- Click Add file and select:
- Source data format: XML-Element.
- Entity name: Sales orders composite V3.
- Select Upload and add and upload this data file as the template file.
- Select View map.
Add the mapping details in SalesOrderHeaderV2Entity.

- Select View map in SalesOrderHeaderV2Entity
- Select Mapping details and click New to add a new mapping rule.
- Add the field SalesOrderNumber to the Staging field column and enable the Auto-generated option. Save changes.
- To add mapping details in SalesOrderLineV2Entity - Select View map in SalesOrderLineV2Entity
- Select Mapping details and click New to add a new mapping rule.

- Add the field InventoryLotId to the Staging field columns and enable the Auto-generated option. Save the changes.

Sales Order Confirmation
- Create an export project using an identifiable GroupName and Description.
- Add the entity: Sales confirmation composite with source data format type: XML-element.
- Add a filter table: Sales order confirmation header with the filter Status criteria as Pending with Order Change equals NO.
ASN
- Create an export project using an identifiable GroupName and Description.
- Add the entity: Outbound ASN with source data format type as XML-element type.
- Add a filter table Outbound shipment header, with a filter Status criteria as Pending.
Invoice
- Create an export project using an identifiable GroupName and Description.
- Add the entity: Sales invoice composite with a source data format type as XML-element.
- Add a filter table Sales invoice header V2, with the filter Status criteria as Pending and GroceryStatus=NO.
Warehouse Shipping Order
- Create an export project with suitable ‘GroupName’ and ‘Description’.
- Add the entity: ‘Sales orders composite V3’ with source data format as ‘XML-element’ type.
- Add the filter table ‘Sales order headers V2’ , filter ‘WHO Status’ equals criteria as ‘Pending’
Inventory Inquiry/Advice
- Create an export project with suitable ‘GroupName’ and ‘Description’.
- Add Entity: ‘Inventory on-hand by warehouse V2’ with source data format as ‘XML-element’ type
.
Order Status Report
- Create an export project with suitable ‘GroupName’ and ‘Description’.
- Add Entity: ‘Sales orders composite V3’ with source data format as ‘XML-element’ type.
- Add filters as per customer use-case. Customers can pull orders based on filters that suit their use case. 870 Accelerator is not restricted to using a particular filter for pulling order reports
- Since the orders are pulled based on customer use-case and filters, no special custom field/ flag has been introduced for checking duplicate order report processing.
Grocery Order
- Create an import project with suitable ‘GroupName’ and ‘Description’.
- To add a new entity, the following options need to be selected. Click on ‘Add file’ and select:
- Source data format as ‘XML-Element’
- Entity name as ‘Sales orders composite V3’.
- Select Upload and add and upload this data file as the template file.
- Click on ‘View map’

Select the ‘Mapping details’ and click ‘New’ to add a new mapping rule.

Add field ‘InventoryLotId’ to ‘Staging field’ and enable ‘Auto-generated’ option and ‘Save’ the changes made.

- Select the ‘View map’ in SalesOrderLineV2Entity.
Customer Payment Order
- Create an import project with suitable ‘GroupName’ and ‘Description’.
- To add a new entity, the following options need to be selected. Click on ‘Add file’ and select
- Source data format as ‘XML-Element’
- Entity name as ‘Customer payment journal’
- Select Upload and add and upload this data file as the template file.
- Click on ‘View map’.
- To add the mapping details in CustomerPaymentJournalLineEntity.
- Select the ‘View map’ in CustomerPaymentJournalLineEntity.
- Select the ‘Mapping details’ and click ‘New’ to add a new mapping rule.
- Add field ‘LineNumber’ to ‘Staging field’ and enable ‘Auto-generated’ option and ‘Save’ the changes made.
- Select the ‘View map’ in CustomerPaymentJournalLineEntity.
Grocery Invoice
- Create an export project with suitable ‘GroupName’ and ‘Description’.
- Add Entity: ‘Sales invoice composite’ with source data format as ‘XML-element’ type.
- Add filter table ‘Sales invoice header V2’ , filter ‘Status’ equals criteria as ‘Pending’
- Use filters setting to select ‘Grocery Status’ as “YES” and ‘Status’ as “PENDING”
Sales Order Change Confirmation
- Create an export project with suitable ‘GroupName’ and ‘Description’.
- Add Entity: ‘Sales confirmation composite’ with source data format as ‘XML-element’ type.
- Add filter table ‘Sales order confirmation header’ , filter ‘Status’ equals criteria as ‘Pending’ and ‘Order change’ equals ‘YES’.
Credit/Debit Adjustment
- Create an import project using a suitable GroupName and Description.
- To add a new entity, the following options must be selected. Click Add file and select:

- Source data format as XML-Element
- Entity name as Return orders composite’
- Select Upload and add to upload this template data file.

- Click View map.
- To add the mapping details in CustomerPaymentJournalLineEntity-
Select View map in Return Order Composite Headers.
- Select Mapping details and set RETURNORDERNUMBER and RMANUMBER as Auto-Generated.
- Go to Return OrderLine V2 Entity. Select Mapping details and set RETURNINVENTORYLOTID as Auto-Generated.
