Local Test is a server environment within your development Studio. This environment helps ensure that objects behave as expected before promoting them as part of working Projects to remote Test or Production servers.

From the Admin Console's main menu toolbar, select Local Test from the Server Environment drop-down.

If not already started, click the Start button
to start the server.Note: This step can also take place at the end of this task.
Important for Clarify v6 users: A PostgreSQL Database must be installed and running before you can start the Local Test server. Please refer to the Guidelines for using your PostgreSQL Database with Clarify.

From the Projects view, select the top-level object(s) from the Workspace section and drag it to the Selected Scenarios section. Clicking the Deploy Scenario button
does the same thing.
The selected object(s) -along with any referenced objects - appear in both the Selected Scenario and Server Projects sections, with a status of Bundled. The Project and Package structure are also displayed.
Certain objects (monitors, etc.) may need to be started before certain processes can be tested.
