Most of the EDI reports in the Dashboard provide the ability to view the Raw EDI data.
What's the value?
Seeing the actual data in the EDI transaction (and organized by Interchange, Group, and Message) can aid in troubleshooting and confirmation activities that EDI Coordinators are often called to do. Almost all of the data in your Cleo system logs are derived from the Raw EDI data, and although no mismatches between the raw data and your logs should exist, the ability to view the data allows you to go back to the original source of the information.
Sometime values may exist in the raw data that are not captured in system logs; specifically business data like order numbers, invoice numbers, addresses, etc. In the log system the ISA, GS, and ST information (control information) are typically captured, but not business data. This is the value of seeing the Raw Data, as it allows a user to see the data that may not be in system logs.
