By default, the Activity > Jobs page displays the most recent Jobs. The main section shows Job details (see Viewing Job Details and Understanding Job Details ), while the left column provides filtering options (see Filtering Job Activity).
To view detailed information about a specific Job, click its job number in the list. For more, see Viewing Job Details.

The Activity > Jobs page automatically refreshes for 30 minutes. After that, click Refresh screen to update the Jobs list and restart the auto-refresh timer.
Filtering Job Activity
The Activity > Jobs page in allows you to filter job records to quickly locate specific activity. Filters can be applied based on criteria such as date range, endpoints, payload names, job status, and issue IDs.

You can toggle filters on the Jobs displayed as follows:
| Filter | Description |
|---|---|
| Date Range | Jobs run during the range you select. |
| From | Jobs that include the source Endpoint you specify. You can type in a value or click Browse to select from a list. |
| To | Jobs that include the destination Endpoint you select. You can type in a value or click Browse to select from a list. |
| Source Payload Name |
Jobs that include a source payload with the name you specify. Partial payload names can be specified in this field in conjunction with the asterisk (*) or question mark (?) wildcard characters.
|
| Issues | Issue with the ID you specify or the status you select. See Issue Status for more information. |
| Jobs |
Job with the job number or status you specify. When you specify a job number, you can specify partial values and use wildcards in this field. When you specify a status, choose from Retrying, In Progress, or Successful. |
As you apply filters, CIC displays them as labeled “chips” above the Jobs list, making it easy to see and manage your active criteria.

When you enter an Issue ID or specify values for the Job number filter, all other filter options become disabled, and the corresponding filter chips are grayed out.

Close a chip to stop displaying the Jobs matching the chip in the list.
Issue Status
If a Job has an associated issue, its Issue status indicates whether the problem is unresolved (current) or resolved. If your configuration allows, you can update issue statuses directly from the Job Details page—see Updating Job Issue Status for guidance.
Note: The statuses described below reflect how Cleo and Cleo Managed Services customers currently coordinate issue handling.
| Icon | Category | Description |
|---|---|---|
![]() |
Current |
Indicates the issue is current (unresolved). Note that some jobs can be resent from the point of failure after an issue has been resolved. This category contains four sub-categories: Open, New, Pending, and On Hold. |
![]() |
Open | Issue has been assigned to Cleo and action is pending from Cleo. |
![]() |
New | Issue has not been assigned to anyone yet. This is the initial state for all issues. Once the status changes, it cannot be set to New again. |
![]() |
Pending | Issue requires assistance from you, the Cleo customer. |
![]() |
On Hold | Issue requires assistance from your Partner. |
![]() |
Resolved | Indicates a Resolved issue. |
![]() |
Solved |
Issue is solved, but not closed. Depending on your configuration, an issue might be set to "Closed" automatically after 3 days of being marked as Solved. See Closed and Solved Issue Status. Otherwise, the "Solved" state is like any other. |
![]() |
Closed |
Issue is closed. Depending on your configuration, an issue might automatically be set to Closed. See Closed and Solved Issue Status. |
Updating Job Issue Status
If your configuration allows issue management, you can update the status of a Job-related issue directly from the Job Details page.
When you update the Job Issue status you can also add a comment at the same time.

A status of "New" is displayed for newly generated issues. Once you change the status, you cannot select "New" again.
Closed and Solved Issue Status
Depending on your configuration, CIC could automatically change an issue’s status to Closed after it remains in the Solved state for three days. In such cases, Closed will not appear as a selectable option in the dropdown. If automatic closure is not enabled, you must manually update the issue status to Closed.
Viewing Job Details
When you click on a Job on the Activity > Jobs page, the Job Detail page appears and displays information about each step in that Job.
Click any step in the Job to view its detailed information. By default, the first step is highlighted, and its details are shown automatically.

When you select a Destination Job step with multiple endpoints, each endpoint appears separately on the left. Clicking an endpoint shows detailed info like messages, payloads, and logs for consistent analysis across all endpoints.

When you select a Transformation step, the Messages tab displays a link to the Message Detail page.
The Log tab displays a list of payloads. Click a payload name to download the payload. Click the down arrow for the payload to display processes associated with that payload.
Understanding Job Details
The Job Details view provides a comprehensive breakdown of each step within a Job. It includes key information such as data flows, payloads, messages, logs, issues, and retry history. This allows users to monitor execution, troubleshoot errors, and track integration progress end-to-end.
Data Flow
For Job steps that use Endpoints other than API, Application Connector, or Database, the Job Detail page displays the associated Data Flow information. You can click the Data Flow name to open it in the edit view. Note that API, Application Connector, and Database endpoints do not use Data Flows.

Payload
The Payload tab lists the files transferred during the selected job step, with each payload available as a download link. If any EDI messages are associated with a payload, a link to the Messages page will also appear in the tab.

Log
The Log tab displays a chronological list of events generated by CIC during the execution of a Job. Each entry includes a timestamp, success or failure icon, event name, and a descriptive message (see Job Events for more details). For Job steps involving API or Application Connector Endpoints, events are expandable to reveal request headers and body content. The body is shown automatically if the content type is supported -- such as JSON, XML, CSV, plain text -- and headers can be expanded manually. Regardless of display support, the request body is always available for download.

Transformation Logs
When you click the Transformation step, the Log tab displays Auditor log files as a list of processes you can explore in more detail. Each entry provides insight into the transformation activity for that step. For additional information, see Auditor Log data displayed in CIC Cockpit.
Message
The Messages tab displays the EDI messages generated during the Job. It’s typically associated with the Transformation step or the Destination step when the destination is an API Endpoint. Each message listed links directly to the Activity > Messages page for further review.

Issue
When a Job encounters an error, the Issue tab appears for the specific step where the error occurred, and the affected message or log entry is clearly marked.
Retry
When a job is retried—either automatically or manually—the Job Details page displays the Retry Audit Trail, providing visibility into each retry attempt. For more information, see Retrying Failed File Transfer Attempts.
For a retried job, the Details page displays the number of times the job has been retried.

In addition, you can click the Retried indicator to view a detailed list of retries, including the timestamp and the user associated with each attempt.
