Overview of CIC Cloud Edition

Welcome to Cleo Integration Cloud - Cloud Edition!

Cleo Integration Cloud (CIC) is an integration platform for B2B, application, and data integration. It combines API, EDI, file transfer, and application connectivity in a single platform, so you can exchange data with your customers, suppliers, partners, service providers, and business applications.

Integration Patterns

CIC supports several integration patterns:

  • B2B integration:  Exchange documents and data with trading partners over AS2, SFTP, FTPS, email, or APIs.

  • Application integration:  Connect to cloud applications through prebuilt connectors, including business systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, and Acumatica, and marketplaces and eCommerce platforms such as Amazon Marketplace, Adobe Commerce, and Shopify.

  • Cloud-to-ground integration:  Connect to on-premises ERP, CRM, TMS, WMS, and financial systems through the CIC Agent.

  • Partner enablement:  Provide web-based document exchange through the Partner Portal for smaller trading partners without the resources to support direct integration.

Business Processes

CIC supports end-to-end business processes across trading partners and backend systems:

  • Order-to-cash:  Receive and acknowledge customer purchase orders, confirm shipments, and issue invoices (850, 855, 856, 810).
  • Procure-to-pay:  Issue purchase orders to suppliers, receive acknowledgements and shipment notices, and process supplier invoices.
  • Transportation and load tender:  Tender shipments to carriers, receive responses, track shipment status, and reconcile freight invoices (204, 990, 214, 210).
  • Warehouse operations:  Exchange shipping and receipt advices with warehouse and third-party logistics providers (945, 944).
  • Planning and forecasting:  Share planning schedules and requests for quotation with trading partners (830, 840).

Orchestration

Orchestration extends Cleo Integration Cloud by correlating related business documents and transactions into end-to-end business processes. This enables visibility into the status of orders, shipments, invoices, and other business outcomes. For example, identifying a compliance issue such as a missing ASN before a shipment leaves the warehouse and results in a retailer penalty. 

Services and Support

You can design, deploy, and manage integrations yourself, or use Cleo Managed Services to build and operate them on your behalf on an ongoing basis. Professional Services engagements are also available for scoped implementation and onboarding work, such as initial deployment.
