You can run Scheduled Reports to gather data about activity in your system. Scheduled Reports are based on Saved Filters from the Activity > Messages page. (See Filtering Message Activity.) These reports are run on a schedule you specify and sent via email as CSV files to valid CIC users you select.
Creating Scheduled Reports
- Go to Activity > Scheduled Reports and click the Add Scheduled Report button.
The New Scheduled Report page displays.
- Enter a name and description of your report.
- Select the Saved Filter to use as the basis for your report. See Managing Saved Filters.
- Select one or more email addresses to send the report to. Email addresses you select must be valid CIC users.
- Specify when to generate the report. Click Add Schedule.
The Schedule dialog box displays.
- Select a time zone. Schedules you add are relative to the time zone you select.
Note: This schedule does not support time changes, for example, moving from Daylight Savings Time to Standard Time. Instead, you must manually adjust the time and/or time zone when appropriate to ensure your reports continue to be generated as expected. - Select an interval type – Minutes, Hourly, Daily, Weekly or Monthly.
Note: The smallest interval supported is 1 minute.
- For Minutes, choose an interval in minutes and a starting point in seconds for each interval.
- For Hourly, choose an interval in hours and a starting point in minutes and seconds for each interval.
- For Daily, choose either an interval in days and a starting pointing in hours, minutes and seconds, or choose to run at every working day and specify a starting time.
- For Weekly, select the days on which you want the Data Flow to run and specify a starting time.
- For Monthly, select either of the following:
- A numerical day of the month (for example, the 15th of the month), an interval in months (for example, every 3 months), and a starting time. Should the day of the month fall on a non-working day, you can specify that the Data Flow should run on the weekday that falls closest to the scheduled start time.
- A day of the week and its order (for example, the second Tuesday of the month), an interval in months (for example, every 3 months), and a starting time.
- Click Advanced to specify a schedule using Quartz Cron notation.
Note: The smallest interval supported is 1 minute.
- Select a time zone. Schedules you add are relative to the time zone you select.
- Select the Send the report ONLY if data... check box to configure your report to be created and sent only when data is found that matches your Saved Filter.
- Save your work.
Editing Scheduled Reports
- Go to Activity > Scheduled Reports.
- Select the Scheduled Report you want to edit.
- Edit the report as necessary.
- Click Save.
Deleting Scheduled Reports
- Go to Activity > Scheduled Reports.
- Select one or more reports.
- Click the Delete button.
