Intelligent Exception Management is an AI-driven capability in CIC that helps users identify, investigate, and resolve integration exceptions within a unified experience.
It organizes related failures into issues, provides context to understand what happened and why, and enables users to take corrective action through guided resolution workflows.
Intelligent Exception Management provides a structured approach to identifying, investigating, and resolving integration exceptions across Issue Management and Guided Resolution.
What it does
Intelligent Exception Management is designed to help users:
Identify issues (Issue Management)
- Consolidate related failures into a single issue
- Automatically categorize and group exceptions
- Surface impacted jobs, messages, and endpoints
These capabilities are reflected in Issue Management, where issues are listed, filtered, and prioritized. See Issue Management: Overview
Investigate issues (Issue details in Issue Management)
- Present issue details, including impact and occurrence
- Provide summaries that describe what failed and why
- Highlight relevant context for analysis
These capabilities are available within issue details in Issue Management, allowing users to understand an issue without navigating logs or multiple system views. See Reviewing Issue Details in Issue Management: Overview.
Resolve issues (Guided Resolution)
- Provide recommended actions based on the issue context
- Present Guided Resolution workflows with step-by-step actions
- Enable users to take corrective action directly from the issue
These capabilities are delivered through Guided Resolution, which provides structured workflows for resolving supported exception types. See Guided Resolution Overview.
Scope and coverage
Intelligent Exception Management supports multiple exception types, including:
- Data transformation and mapping failures
- Exit point failures
- Communication and connection failures
- Functional acknowledgment (FA) rejections
Guided Resolution workflows are available for supported scenarios and might vary by exception type.
