At-Risk SLAs and Missed SLAs notifications can be configured independently. For each notification type, you can control notification frequency and select the metrics and partners that generate alerts.
Notification Defaults
When you enable an At-Risk SLAs or Missed SLAs notification for the first time, all available metrics and partners are selected and the notification frequency is set to Per Instance.
Disabling a notification stops email delivery but preserves the existing configuration. When the notification is enabled again, the previously saved settings are restored.
Configuring Notification Frequency
Each notification type can send notifications immediately or as a digest.
- Per Instance sends an email as soon as a qualifying event occurs.
- Hourly, Daily, and Weekly send digest emails containing all qualifying events collected during the selected interval. You can also specify the interval, such as every 2 hours or every 3 weeks.
Digest email subject lines reflect the selected cadence. For example:
Daily Notification: 12 At-Risk SLAs on Tuesday, Nov 25
Note: Hourly notifications apply only to Standard Metrics. Alerts for Custom Metrics are always sent Per Instance, regardless of the selected notification frequency.
Selecting Metrics and Partners
Select the metrics or partners summary to open the selection dialog. Each dialog includes search functionality and a Select All option.
By default, all available metrics and partners are selected. At least one metric must remain selected.
Notifications are generated only for selected metrics and partners.
If all metrics or all partners remain selected, newly added metrics and partners are automatically included in the notification configuration. If you limit the selection to specific metrics or partners, newly added items are not added automatically.
Note: If access to a previously selected partner is removed, that partner is automatically removed from the notification configuration.
Note: An SLA that is At-Risk when a notification is generated may no longer be At-Risk when you view the notification. The SLA may have recovered or transitioned to a Missed state.
