Enabling the Web Services Manually - D365 BC

There are two different options available when enabling Web Services on the D365 BC application. Each is described below.

Option 1

1. Search for Web Services and then click on the first link.

   

2. Click New.

   

3. Select Page from the Object Type drop-down.

   

4. Click on the Object ID cell and then Select from full list link.

   

5. Enter the name of the required entity and then click on the ID link next to the entity.

   

6. Enter a suitable Service Name and click Publish.

   

Option 2

1. Search for the required entity and click on the first available link.

   

2. Click on the first order displayed on the screen.

   

3. Click the “?” icon on the top right corner, and then click on Help and Support.

   

4. Click Inspect pages and data link. This can be found under Troubleshooting.
5. Hover over any field under the General section and observe the Page Inspection section. Take note of the ID of the corresponding entity, as it is needed in a later step below.

   

6. Search for Web Services and then click on the first link.

   

7. Click New.

   

8. Select Page from the Object Type drop-down.

   

9. Click on the Object ID cell and then enter the ID obtained in the step above. Click on the ID.

   

10. Enter a suitable Service Name and then click Publish.
