Additional Considerations & Information
Licensing
- Cleo Clarify supports several different types of licensing depending on the purpose to which you will use the Studio and Server installations. Some types are included with default installations, while others are not.
-
Temporary Server and Studio (including Local Test server) are supplied with default Install-restrictive licenses.
- Nothing can be deployed or installed until permanent or subscription licenses have been requested and applied to each Studio and Server installation.
- Licensing checks occur each time a server is selected from the Server Environment drop-down in the Admin Console.
- License Request Articles and Forms
Compatibility Considerations for Cleo Clarify 6
Cleo product patches often contain security-strengthening capability enhancements and updates. We strongly recommend that customers remain on the latest product version and apply updates without delay.
-
Log Warehouse
- Compatibility is maintained, but specific version dependencies may need to be validated per deployment.
-
Dashboards
- Dashboards are fully compatible with Clarify 6 and Harmony. Premium Dashboards allow for custom analytics on Harmony data but are not designed for broader BI use cases involving external data
- A Premium Dashboards preview was included in the CIC roadmap, indicating ongoing investment in enhanced visibility tooling.
Ruleset impact on functionality between Cleo Clarify 4.x and later versions
- While most core features are retained, some legacy behaviors - especially those relying on outdated mapping logic - may not be supported. For example, changes in LS/LE handling have caused regressions in some customer environments.
- To ensure full access to the complete set of new and enhanced capabilities in Cleo Clarify v6, Cleo recommends customers upgrade to version 2 rulesets during migration.
- While this is not mandated, customers will lose some of the advanced functionality available in the Cleo Clarify version if they opt to stay on version 1 ruleset
