You can enable event-generated email notifications based on your profile by selecting the event types you want to receive notifications for.
You must have the correct permissions configured to view certain notification types. If no notification types are available, you will not be able to view the Notifications tab.
Email notifications are sent to the email address associated with your profile.
- Click your Avatar and select My Profile.
The General tab is displayed by default.
- Go to the Notifications tab.
The event types for which you can enable notification are displayed.Note: Only events you have permission to view are made available to you.
- Select the events you want to be notified about. See About Notifications Types.
- Click Save.
About Notifications Types
This section describes the available notification types.
Type | Description |
---|---|
Job Failures | Notifications sent when jobs fail. To receive notifications of this kind, you must have Access to Jobs permissions. See Permissions in Managing Users. By default, this notification is disabled. |
SLA Warnings | Notification sent when SLAs, as defined in CIC, are considered at risk of not being met. The criterion for generating this notification is specified when you create and define SLAs. See Creating and Defining SLAs. |
SLA Missed | Notification sent when SLAs, as defined in CIC, are not met. The criterion for generating this notification is specified when you create and define SLAs. See Creating and Defining SLAs. |
Rejected FA | Notification sent when a Rejected FA has been either received from a trading partner (for Admin or Normal users) or sent by the trading partner (for Partner users). See About Roles in the Managing Users article.

CIC Agent Update Available | Notification sent when there is an update available for CIC Agent. |
Access Point Unhealthy or Down |
Notification sent when an Access Point or a node in an Access Point is in an unhealthy state or is down. An Access Point is considered unhealthy when all of its Nodes are experiencing connectivity issues. An Access Point is considered down when all of its Nodes have been non-responsive to status requests for an extended interval. |
Certificate Expiration Warning | Notification sent when there is a certificate in use that is about to expire.
All tenants in which a given user is set up are checked daily. This notification is not available for Partner users. You can specify how far in advance of expiration notifications should be sent, whether they should be repeated and, if repeated, how frequently. By default, this notification is disabled. |
Certificate Expired | Notification sent when there is an expired certificate in use. You can specify whether notifications should be repeated and, if repeated, how frequently.
All tenants in which a given user is set up are checked daily. This notification is not available for Partner users. By default, this notification is enabled and has a frequency of one day. |
