Setting up Agent-to-Agent Transfers

Agent-to-agent transfers help your businesses support multiple units or independent brands with common customers. They allow you to create dataflows to transfer files between endpoints within your CIC environment to offer common services for joint customers between individual brands and subsidiaries. 

Enabling an agent-to-agent transfer requires the following configuration:

1. Two Access Points -- they can be installed on the same server or on different servers, but they must be on the same CIC system. See Managing Access Points.

2. Two File System Endpoints -- these are the only type of Endpoints that can reside on an Access Point. See Managing Endpoints and File System Endpoint.

3. A Data Flow -- when you create your Data Flow, specify one of your File System Endpoints as the source and the other as the destination. You cannot specify the same Endpoint as both source and destination. See Working with Data Flows.

Once you have created your Access Points, Endpoints, and Data Flow, you are ready to run your Data Flow and transfer files.
