These release notes describe new features, known issues, fixes, and other information related to the current CIC release. This may include changes to CIC Cockpit, CIC Studio/Engine, CIC Library, and CIC Agent.

September 18, 2023

CIC Cockpit contains the following enhancements and updates:

• The Job List has been enhanced to be more responsive and robust.
• Scheduled Reports now allow you to assign a time range to help define the data incorporated into a given report. See Specifying a time range for a Scheduled Report for more information.
• CIC Cockpit now allows you to switch tenants directly from the menu bar in addition to the My Profile page. See Switching Tenants.
• CIC Cockpit now allows customized branding to be restored to default values quickly and easily. See Branding the look and feel of CIC.

August 31, 2023

As part of an overall performance enhancement to the latest generation of CIC, a new enhancement changes some default functionality of the CIC Studio's Auditor View, part of the Admin Console Perspective. This change now limits the retrieval of data to the previous 7 days by default. This will make auditor response time quicker, thereby making troubleshooting of recent logging much more efficient.

Note: To access auditor logs that span beyond this 7-day interval, use the Quick Search filtering tools available in the Auditor View. For details, please refer to the Quick Searches section of Using the CIC Studio Auditor.

CIC Cockpit contains the following enhancements and fixes:

• RADAR performance has been improved in the area of Response Time SLAs.
• Fixed an issue where SFTP Endpoints would not allow the use of numerical passwords.

The current release of CIC Agent is now 1.2.9. It contains general enhancements and improvements.

CIC Studio version 5.2.15 is now available for download. This release provides a completely redesigned GUI to improve your design experience and make it more intuitive, efficient, and easy to use. 

Among the many visual enhancements, a new Beta version of the Business Process editor offers the same general functionality while improving the way you access, edit, and define your Business Process. 

The main changes include:

• New editor enablement steps.
• Task editing and display options.
• Realignment of editor sections.

Note: To enable the beta version of the editor, you must select a BP from the Workspace and open (right-click) with the Business Process Editor - New (Beta) option.

Known Issue

Dark Mode is currently not supported in either  Windows and MAC version of CIC Studio 5.2.15. If your system uses dark mode as default, then the CIC Studio will launch in this mode.
To change it, go to Windows>Preferences>General>Appearance from the main menu and select cic_studio_win (Windows) or cic_studio_mac (Mac) as your theme.  

System requirement changes

Please note that several requirements have been adjusted to provide enhanced Studio performance. These include changes to:

• RAM (now 16 GB or greater)
• Screen Resolution (Scaling should be set to 100% for optimal viewing)

CIC Cockpit contains the following enhancements and fixes:

• The SFTP Endpoint has been enhanced to support rsa-sha2-512 and rsa-sha2-256 Public Key Algorithms.
• Fixed an issue where a client rename of a file just uploaded to a partner mailbox (FTP or SFTP) would fail. A rename is commonly done by clients to change the filename from a temporary name during upload.

• Fixed an issue that caused a mismatch between the number of messages shown on the Messages page and the number of messages included in the exported CSV file.

The current release of CIC Agent is now 1.2.8. It contains the following enhancements and fixes:

• Transactional notification messages are now used to avoid lost messages in cases of exception.
• Polling for new messages is now paused if there are too many messages pending deletion. This is to prevent reading messages faster than they can be deleted.
• Fixed an issue where the CIC Agent would log a misleading bind exception on start-up.
• Fixed an issue where macro variables were not working properly with LCOPY commands.
• Fixed an issue where the selected Data Flow subfolder would be ignored on File System Endpoints using custom commands. Note that this update will affect processing that uses these options without any action on the part of the CIC user.

CIC Cockpit now includes the following enhancements and fixes:

• Inbound IP whitelisting is now available for AS2, OFTP, Partner Mailbox and RNIF Endpoints. This enables you to limit the IP addresses allowed to connect to a given Endpoint.
• The Email Endpoint now includes a set of optional properties that help mitigate issues experienced with email header length that resulted in rejected emails.
• SFTP and FTP Endpoints now include the capability to execute commands before and after PUT and GET commands. See FTP Endpoint and SFTP Endpoint.
• Updated the LCOPY -REC option to not only recurse source subdirectories but also create the same subdirectory structure in the destination. When -REC is used with the -DEL option, it will recurse and remove subdirectory structures from the source. Note that this update will affect processing that uses these options without any action on the part of the CIC user.
• Fixed an issue with Partner Mailbox Endpoint permissions that would prevent users from uploading files to their Partner Mailbox.
• Fixed an issue where CIC Cockpit would allow you to create multiple AS2 Endpoints with the same AS2 ID.

The current release of CIC Agent is now 1.2.7. It contains a fix for an issue with SUSE 15.4 installation.

A new accelerator has been added to the CIC Library of Accelerators, Connectors, and Boosters. The NetSuite Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Accelerator helps to streamline and optimize your procurement, delivery, invoicing, and payment processes. The Accelerator contains typical P2P flows, which include Purchase Orders, Acknowledgements, Advance Ship Notices, and Invoices with standardized 997 Functional Acknowledgments.  For more details, refer to the NetSuite <> EDI X12 Procure-to-Pay (Overview).

CIC now supports RNIF as a source or destination Endpoint for ecosystem integrations. Like other Endpoint types, RNIF Endpoints are defined within CIC while the actual data source resides outside of CIC. See RNIF Endpoint for more information.

CIC Cockpit contains the following enhancements:

• Data Flow custom commands for the File System Endpoint now includes LCOPY to help support local file movement and management. See LCOPY Command in Command Reference.
• The SET command for Data Flows now supports a TerminateOnFail property that controls command processing when errors occur. See SET Command in Command Reference.

The current release of CIC Agent is now 1.2.6. It contains enhancements to support new Data Flow command updates.

CIC Studio version 5.2.14 is available for download.  This release includes a wider set of features for the integration developer and improvements to existing functionality.

• The Amazon Marketplace Selling Partner Connector (SP-API) Connector has been enhanced to include an API selection page, which gives users the option to choose specific resources prior to creating the connector. 
• CIC Connectors now accurately reflect the rebranded Adobe Commerce Connector (from Magento), as well as the sunsetting of Amazon's Marketplace Web Service (MWS) API.

The CIC Cockpit contains the following enhancements and fixes:

• The File System Endpoint has been enhanced with the capability to limit the number of files pulled during a GET operation.
• FTP and SFTP Endpoints have been enhanced with default values of 2 automatic retries with a 30-second retry interval to help mitigate transient failures and avoid job failures/tickets.
• New regions, including eu-south-1, have been added to the S3 Endpoint.
• The S3 Endpoint now includes a Parallel Download Threads setting that can be set to as high as 10 to allow parallel downloads of available S3 objects. The parallel downloads start during the directory listing rather than after.
• CIC behavior has been improved when Sending Logs to Cleo for an Access Point. Prior to this, a long processing time could result in the log-sending process to error out. Now the process can better manage the long processing times.
• Fixed an issue where a Data Flow with multiple GET commands in the source would result in multiple jobs being created unnecessarily. This could then also cause issues routing the extra jobs to the destination if multiple Data Flows used the same source endpoint.
• Fixed an issue with loading the Data Flow name when creating or editing a Data Flow.
• Fixed an issue where an expired certificate associated with a deleted Endpoint could not be deleted.
• Fixed an issue where CIC would show a transfer as successful when there was an SFTP write permission issue and the Trading Partner had not received the files.
• Fixed an issue where a payload was being considered as sent even when the PUT command failed. This could occur if a command preceded the PUT command in the destination specified in the Data Flow and the destination Endpoint had automatic retries configured.

The current CIC Agent release is now 1.2.5. In this release, detail job logging for PUT commands has been improved to remove some extraneous information.

• Data Flow Advanced Commands has an UI updated for improved usability and now supports File System Endpoints. See the Data Flow Advanced Command Reference.
• AS2 Endpoints now allow the incoming file to be given the name specified in its associated field. You can use this option to override the file name specified by the sender. See AS2 Endpoint.
• SFTP Endpoints are enhanced with capability to retrieve and store the server certificate fingerprint from the specified Host for verification during SFTP transfers. See SFTP Endpoint
• File System Endpoints have been enhanced to support for OpenPGP, like FTP and SFTP Endpoints. See File System Endpoint
• Fixed an issue with connectivity when using the Limited Primary/Failover IP Network.

The current release of CIC Agent is now 1.2.4. In addition to containing general improvements, it has been enhanced to throttle SQS polling of job events to avoid job overrun issues.

CIC Cockpit has been improved and enhanced as follows:

• For certain Endpoint types:
  • Improved ability to configure Automatic and Extended Retry functionality. See Automatic and Extended Retries. 
  • Added the ability to control the number of outbound transfers that can occur concurrently. 
• Enhanced the SFTP Endpoint to support a new advanced property, "Ignore Stat Errors", which helps avoid errors that occur when file names contain wildcard characters or regular expressions.
• When creating a Data Flow, you can now filter Source and Destination Endpoint lists to reduce the number of Endpoints displayed, making it easier to find the Endpoint you want to use.
• Fixed an issue where each Endpoint in a tenant displayed information about expired or soon-to-expire certificates across all Endpoints for that tenant.

CIC Studio version 5.2.13 is now available for download. This release includes the following enhancements and bug fixes, all designed to improve your experience using the Studio.

• Ability to configure a Proxy for API Consumers so that the internal APIs can be accessed through an Access Point.
• Ability to support Asynchronous API Providers.
• Resolved a login page issue for Windows 11 users.

As a best practice, Cleo recommends that you always use the latest version of CIC Studio.

In the CIC Cockpit, an issue was fixed where attempting a transfer to a direct S3 Endpoint would result in an IllegalArgumentException: bucketName cannot be empty error. Resaving the S3 Endpoint will correct the issue.

CIC Cockpit contains the following fixes:

• Fixed an issue with how a share path is displayed for a local File System Endpoint.
• Fixed an issue with creating or editing Data Flows where a problem loading the list of Endpoints was causing the creation or editing process to time out.
• Fixed an issue when renaming an Endpoint where associated Data Flows and lookup tables would not be updated accordingly.
• Fixed an issue with saving changes to a File System Endpoint.
• Fixed an issue where changes to Partner Mailbox Endpoint settings were not saved properly.

The current release of CIC Agent is now 1.2.3. It contains a fix for an issue where a job would not be failed by the CIC Agent if an Endpoint was disabled after the job had already been queued to the Agent.

Several Order-to-Cash integration flows have been added and extended in the D365 SCM <> X12 Accelerator as part of the CIC Library of Accelerators, Connectors, and Boosters. Flows include the 812 (Credit/Debit Adjustments) and the 865 (Order Change Acknowledgement). For more information, refer to the Connector Overview - D365 SCM.

Several NetSuite <> X12 Accelerator Order-to-Cash integration flows have also been improved to better meet current solution approaches, such as Saved Search. Flows include 850, 855, 856, and 810 documents. For more information, refer to the NetSuite <> EDI X12 Order-to-Cash (Overview).

In CIC Cockpit, S3 Endpoints can now use Access Points to connect to S3 when access is restricted for security purposes, for example, when only connections from your internal network are allowed. See S3 Endpoint and Managing Access Points.

The current release of CIC Agent is now 1.2.2. It contains enhancements to support the ability of S3 Endpoints to use Access Points.

Additional Order-to-Cash integration flows have been added to the D365 BC <> X12 Accelerator as part of the CIC Library of Accelerators, Connectors, and Boosters. CIC Studio version 5.2.12 is now available for download. This release includes several enhancements, bug fixes, and a new Connector, all designed to improve your experience using the Studio.

• The eBay Connector is the latest addition to our growing library of Accelerators, Boosters, and Connectors. With this Connector, you can seamlessly integrate your eBay application data with your databases, ERP, CRM, and marketing platforms - keeping your front-end and back-end systems aligned. Refer to the eBay Connector overview to learn more.
• We've improved the host URL handling in the NetSuite vault entry wizard. CIC now pre-populates the Host URL, which changes dynamically as you provide the account number and WSDL URL. The host URL field is read-only by default, but you can click on the edit button to change the host URL manually if needed. 
• SOAP Connectors now have improved logging details, expanding your ability to address wider error scenarios.
• Key Authentication (also known as API key authentication) is now supported and can be selected when creating Web Service Providers from the Studio. Key Auth is used to authenticate clients accessing an API endpoint by requiring them to provide a unique API key or token.
• Improved the XML output generation for complex elements that have mixed types. Previously, there was an issue that caused incorrect mapping generation. We have addressed this by enhancing the XML Schema functionality, which now enables proper mapping generation for mixed-type elements. This improvement ensures that users can accurately generate XML output for complex elements with mixed types, without encountering any mapping errors.
• Improved the options to ignore certain read-only fields in NetSuite integrations, giving you more control over your integrations.

In CIC Engine, new improvements help users troubleshoot API-related failures more efficiently and intuitively. When a failure occurs in the CIC Engine, a ticket is created in CIC (or Zendesk), depending on the configuration. This ticket includes a hyperlink to the CIC Cockpit Job Details view which corresponds to the failed Job. The following details are now included in the ticket:

• Response Status Code
• Response Status Message
• Response Payload
• Web Service Provider/Consumer that was initiated
• Source & Target Endpoint
• Trading Partner, if configured.

This information will be available on the failed Job view, Zendesk ticket, and Email notification as well.

In CIC Cockpit, Advanced Search functionality on the Messages page now has the capability to match ANY or ALL search terms specified. Selecting ANY returns messages that match at least one of the search criteria. Selecting ALL returns only messages that match all of the search criteria. This provides the ability to more precisely focus filtering results on the Messages page. Click here for more information.

In CIC Cockpit, RADAR SLA Monitoring & Management has been enhanced to support using conditions based on message properties to more precisely define the triggering event for the SLA. See RADAR™ - Response Time for more information.

In CIC Engine, the size of directory listings returned for partner mailboxes for all partner mailbox protocols (FTP, SFTP, and Portal) has been updated to 1500. If more files exist in the partner mailbox directory, they are returned once the files listed are downloaded and deleted.

CIC Engine has added the 192.245.195.0/24 CIDR block for outbound trading partner communications. This update might require some of your trading partners to adjust their IP allowed list as previously communicated if they have not done so already. CIC Engine contains the following enhancements:

• Logging has been enhanced to extend the period of time that detailed log information for most trading partner endpoints is retained.
• The size of directory listings returned for partner mailboxes for all partner mailbox protocols (FTP, SFTP, and Portal) has been limited to 500. If more files exist in the partner mailbox directory, they are returned once the files listed are downloaded and deleted.

The current release of CIC Agent is now 1.1.15. It contains the following enhancements and fixes:

• Dependencies with known vulnerabilities were identified and remedied.
• JRE was switched from Oracle 1.8.0.201 to OpenJDK 8u353b08.
• Fixed an issue where an event with no payloads would cause an error.
• Fixed an issue where, when deleting an Access Point, the CIC Agent for that Access Point would log errors repeatedly.

CIC Cockpit contains an Advanced Search option for message details in the Messages view. This allows users to create searches based on specific message properties.  For example, users now have the ability to filter on 850 Purchase Order documents with a particular Receiver ID. You can also enter a comma-separated list to search for multiple values in the same message property. See the relevant article to learn how to use the advanced search option.

• Cosmetic improvements to the pages that display lists of Access Points, Endpoints, Certificates and Keys, and Data Flows.
• Performance improvements to the Data Flows page, especially when the page is first invoked.
• Fixed an issue where it was possible to save a Data Flow containing an invalid cron expression in the schedule.
• Fixed an issue where the Data Flow list would appear blank if one of the Data Flows contained an invalid cron expression in its schedule.

A new accelerator has been added to the CIC Library of Accelerators, Connectors, and Boosters. The D365 Business Central (BC) Accelerator contains typical Order-to-Cash flows which include Inbound 850 to Sales Order in BC ERP, Outbound Sales Order Confirmation from ERP to EDI 855, Outbound Advance Shipment from BC to EDI 856, and Outbound Invoice from BC to EDI 810.  For more details refer to EDI X12 Order-to-Cash <> D365 BC (Overview).

The current release of CIC Agent is now 1.1.12. It contains general enhancements and improvements, including a fix for an issue where CIC Agent would not receive all payloads in a file system-to-file system Data Flow.

In addition, an issue was fixed where a File System Endpoint could not connect to a shared network folder if the folder name contained spaces.

On the Messages page in the CIC Cockpit, SLA Status filter is now included when you create Saved Filters and as part of Scheduled Reports based on those Saved Filters. This makes it possible for you to have a list of messages that match your filtering criteria generated automatically on a regular basis and delivered to your email inbox. The new Shopify Booster has been added to the CIC Library of Accelerators, Connectors, and Boosters.

The Shopify Booster is designed with process orchestration resources to integrate Shopify with any type of backend system. The resources can be used to retrieve new, updated, and canceled orders from Shopify, and also submit the Shipment details to Shopify. This Booster also includes process orchestration steps to update inventory quantities in Shopify.

• CIC Studio also supports the MS Edge web browser.
• CIC Studio currently ships with the version of JRE listed below as appropriate for the installation:
  • Eclipse 9-2021  
  • Java 11 (OpenJDK JDK 11)

Git Repositories Supported

• CIC Studio now supports the use of Git repositories for version control. Refer to the steps to enable Git repositories in the Solution Center.

Automatic Logout when inactive

• To conserve system resources, the CIC Studio automatically logs users out due to inactivity. Users can simply use the Login button on the Admin Console’s toolbar to log in again.
  When logged out, if users either switch to the Admin Console from a different perspective or click the Relaunch Last Business Process button, then the system will prompt for login.

In the CIC Cockpit, the Data Flow and Endpoint pages have been optimized to be more responsive.

In addition, the following issues have been fixed: 

• Manually retrying a payload would sometimes fail when the source Endpoint is of type Transformation.
• A Job might fail or be delayed because changed Data Flow parameters were not being refreshed in the Job when it transitioned from WAITING to IN-PROGRESS.

CIC Cockpit now provides a user interface for pausing and restarting CIC processing (at the server level and at the event queue level) and controlling CIC event queue processing, including specifying processing priority and the number of active processes on a per-event basis. The current CIC Agent release is 1.1.9. This release contains the following enhancements:

• CIC Agent Windows installer is now signed.

Amazon SP-API Connector

This release provides additional use case opportunities for integration with Amazon SP-API. Use cases include additional Supply Chain, Product, and Generic APIs supported for FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon).

D365 BC Connector

This release provides out-of-box access to Business Central APIs with prebuilt schemas and other resources to simplify the development process.

• Allows users to work with data relating to their D365 entities, including SalesOrder, SalesInvoice, SalesShipment, and more.
• Connect your CIC Integration to your D365 application data for seamless integration into your Databases, ERP, CRM, and Marketing platforms to keep data aligned between front-end and back-end systems

• Support for Data Flow Advanced Commands has been expanded to include S3, AzureBlob, Email, and OFTP Endpoint types. This means you can execute certain commands upon Data Flow execution when these Endpoints are part of the integration. See the Data Flow Advanced Command Reference.
• The ${datetime} macro has been enhanced to allow the use of operations to specify variants of data and time. See Using ${datetime} operations in the Using Macro Variables in CIC article.
• CIC now allows certificates and keys to be exported from the Endpoint where they are listed. See Exporting a certificate and Exporting a key in the Endpoint Security article.
• Fixed an issue where you could erroneously select a Transformation Endpoint for a Data Flow when a Data Flow already existed between the Transformation Endpoint and the source Endpoint.

• Fixed an issue where a Data Flow kicked off before the previously scheduled action or job was finished.

CIC Library Enhancements

A new Accelerator and supported Integration Flows have been added to the CIC Library of Accelerators, Connectors, and Boosters.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (D365 SCM) 

• This Accelerator is designed to process orders (X12 850) that are received from Trading Partners and create the corresponding Sales Order in D365 SCM. Once the Orders/Items are confirmed, the corresponding Sales Order Acknowledgement (X12 855) is generated. Once the orders/items are shipped on D365 SCM, the corresponding shipment records are retrieved from the D365 SCM and Advance Shipment Notification (X12 856) is created and sent to the TP. Once the invoice is generated on the D365 SCM, the corresponding Invoices are retrieved from D365 SCM and an Invoice (X12 810) is created and sent to the TP. For all flows, the 997 acknowledgement has been processed.
• Accelerators contain prebuilt Schemas, Rulesets, Business Processes, and other resources used for development, deployment, and execution. This includes mapping tools specific to several business flows as part of the Accelerators. Finally, there are also resources necessary to display data in several Cockpit monitoring pages.

Enhancements to Accelerators and Boosters

• Examples have been added to the Accelerators which demonstrate NetSuite SOAP Operations with different data types such as Multi-Select Custom Field, MultiselectSearchDouble, Multiselect Search Long, etc.  For more information please see the Data Type section in the NetSuite <> EDI X12 Order-to-Cash (Overview) for more information.
  
  
• The AMP Booster now supports the use of the Log of Application Batch check box in the Ruleset editor. This is used when creating a Data Analysis Ruleset (DARS) and routing to an outbound EDI process Rulesets. The Log of Application Batch is required for outbound enveloping when not using Data Grouping.
   
• SQL adjustments made to the util project now allow staging tables for the Accelerators/Boosters to be successfully created/updated even when tables/schema already exists. Previously the existence of staging tables would prevent users from being able to make updates.
  
  
• CIC Cockpit now displays related warning messages for the AMP Booster Order Fulfillment Flow when the Fulfillment feed is processed at Amazon but with a warning. An example is shown below.

Ruleset viewer in Cockpit

Those with the ability to view Jobs in the CIC Cockpit can now also see specific Ruleset details on the Logs tab on the Jobs Detail screen.

More users can view Auditor logs from the CIC Cockpit 

Process logs from CIC Studio’s Auditor Log can now be viewed from the Logs tab of the Job details screen in the CIC Cockpit. Previously this ability was available based on select user permissions. Now a broader user group has access to these logs.  This is a time-saver when troubleshooting issues as it saves you from having to log into the Studio.

Note: Users who are able to view Job Details should be able to view the Auditor Logs as well. If this is not the case, make sure the user has "Access to Integration Configuration" permission (see Controlling data access and user permissions in Managing Users) or the CIC Studio has been upgraded to the latest version.

Improved Continuity of Service with High Availability CIC Agents

CIC now supports High Availability CIC Agents (HA Agents) that provide continuity of services even when you experience hardware glitches. You can have up to 5 CIC Agents (called nodes) servicing a single Access Point without the need for any special infrastructure, like shared databases. When activated, if a Node goes down, the other Nodes continue processing new Jobs. See High Availability CIC Agents.

CIC Studio/Engine Enhancements

This release contains several minor fixes for recent Production issues and includes infrastructure updates meant to improve general platform stability.

Enhancements to NetSuite-based Accelerators

Changes in the project structure to have the single point of NetSuite integration for both eCommerce/Marketplace transactions, and EDI (X12) transactions. One NetSuite Booster project is checked out when using Application and Network Accelerators.  This helps apply customizations implemented in NetSuite using a single Project which connects to multiple external ecosystem entities.

AMP Connector supports SP-APIs 

The Amazon Marketplace (AMP) Connector now leverages the new AMP SP-APIs, which include the following:

Web Service Consumer (SOAP) enhancements

Web Service Consumer (SOAP) functionality has been enabled with the CDATA standard, which allows users to add the HTTP header for the Web Service Consumers SOAP using Process environment variables, and send CDATA elements in the SOAP Payload without the need for encoding.

Troubleshooting failed Jobs without logging into CIC Studio

CIC now provides a troubleshooting path from a trouble ticket in CIC or Zendesk directly to the failed Job in the CIC Cockpit. From there, you have access to process logs from Auditor directly on the Logs tab in the Jobs Details page in Cockpit. See Troubleshooting Transformation Issues and Auditor Log data displayed in CIC Cockpit.

Improvements to the management console for Trading Partner-related objects

The list of Endpoints associated with a given partner (Network > Partners tab) now includes API Endpoints and allows the creation of API Endpoints. This helps the user understand which Endpoints are currently being used by a given Trading Partner.

Fixes

• FTP Endpoint has been enhanced to support using a TLS client certificate for client authentication.
• Fixed an issue where on the Partners > Endpoints screen, disabled Endpoints were not greyed out.
• Fixed an issue where a Data Flow could be scheduled to run more frequently than once within a minute. Existing Data Flow schedules will be honored, but future schedules will have this restriction.
• Fixed an issue where an AzureBlob Endpoints could not be enabled or disabled from the list of Endpoint.

MS Dynamics 365 SCM Connector Enhancement - Include Expand Schema

The Microsoft Dynamics 365 SCM Connector now includes all navigation entities applicable for a given entity (SalesOrderHeaderV2, for example) in the response schemas of Get and GetById operations. This alleviates the manual step of merging payloads of different entities to prepare a single document (for example, displaying the merged payload in the cockpit). You can now directly map these objects using a single, expanded schema within your Ruleset. For more information see Step 4 of creating a connector Project.

Timeout parameters in NetSuite Connector

Timeout limits in your NetSuite Connector can be configured to control how long a process should wait before timing out (and not waiting indefinitely). This helps to identify NetSuite processes that may not have completed, especially when no timeout response has been received from NetSuite. See Managing Timeout Limits in the NetSuite Connector for more information.

Fixes

• Fixed an issue where multiple inbound 830 processes would incorrectly display with a status of Active/Running for an extended period of time.
• Fixed an issue with validation errors being generated when deploying multiple WSProvider projects that use the default API group.
• Fixed an issue where redeploying a project with no change to authtype generated a validation error.
• Fixed an issue where, when the Tenant Configuration was updated, it required API Provider projects to be redeployed.
• Fixed an issue where regenerating OAuth2 credentials for an Endpoint without saving the Endpoint would allow the old Access Token to continue working.
• Partner Mailbox Endpoints enhanced to allow files to be renamed before they are picked up.

API Provider Endpoints

API Provider Endpoints enable you to publish APIs in CIC for Trading Partners and other systems in your ecosystem to consume. You can generate credentials for each consumer providing you flexible control over access to APIs. In addition, Jobs that include APIs now provide visibility into the system that invoked the API. See API Endpoints - Consumer and Provider.

Enhancements

• SFTP Endpoints now support additional public key, MAC, and key exchange algorithms. See SFTP Endpoint.
• You can now transfer files between two File System Endpoints. This enables you to perform transfers between file systems and with subsidiaries on the same CIC system. See File System Endpoint.

Fixes

Several issues have been addressed and fixed with this current release:

• Fixed an issue where CIC would timeout when attempting to interactively browse a Filesystem Endpoint. See File System Endpoint.
• Security update - Dropped support for some older TLS ciphers for the CIC Cockpit HTTPS connection.

Enhancements

A new parameter in the Web Service Provider editor has been added to support multiple APIs using the same authorization credentials, and a single customer able to consume multiple APIs. This is in conjunction with API Provider support mentioned in above CIC Cockpit enhancements. In the CIC Cockpit, a list of API Groups (using the new parameter) for a selected Endpoint will be displayed.

Fixes

• Fixed an issue where API provider project deployment would fail with a validation error.
• Fixed an issue where EDI validation would fail and Inbound Routes would process incorrect data.
• Fixed a problem with routing jobs when the same source endpoint was configured in multiple dataflows. The problem occurred when more than 50 files were found as part of one session.

CIC Library Enhancements

NetSuite <> Shopify Accelerator Updates

Enhancements have been made to the pre-built integration flows that are part of the NetSuite <> Shopify Accelerator. These include updates and enhancements to the Inventory Sync and Order Flows:

• If the buyer updates the order in Shopify, the Sales Order in NetSuite is updated respectively. If the buyer cancels the Shopify order before fulfillment, the Sales Order in NetSuite is updated to be closed.
• The Inventory sync flow updates the on-hand quantity of an item with respect to the location from NetSuite to the corresponding item in Shopify. Shopify inventory activity chart shows inventory sync records count i.e., the number of times a product count has been synced between NetSuite and Shopify.

OFTP Endpoints

CIC now supports communications over OFTP, a protocol standard used worldwide, especially in Europe in the automobile industry. The addition of OFTP Endpoints can help ease the transition from on-premise solutions to Cleo's CIC Cloud Edition.  For more information, see OFTP Endpoint.

Enhanced control of File System Endpoint folders via Data Flows

Starting with version 1.0.17 of CIC Agent, when a Data Flow contains a File System Endpoint as its source, you can control whether files in subfolders are included recursively in transfers using this Data Flow. See Controlling Recursion for a File System Endpoint in Working with Data Flows.

Fixes

Several issues have been addressed and fixed with this current release:

• Fixed an issue where a single message could be processed multiple times resulting in multiple Message Tiles with different Job IDs referring to a single message in CIC Cockpit.
• Fixed an issue where successfully transformed payloads were sent to incorrect Endpoints.
• Fixed an issue where some manually run Data Flows did not properly create or display Jobs in the Jobs list.
• Fixed an issue where a delay would occur when CIC was ensuring uniqueness of filenames during Job processing.

Prevent ticket creation by filtering error codes

Enhancements to REST Connectors and REST WS Consumers can help you prevent ticket generation in CIC Cockpit for certain scenarios in which failed processes don’t necessitate failed jobs. Additional parameters let you specify which HTTP errors codes shouldn't cause a job to fail, thus a ticket not created. See how to Prevent ticket creation in CIC Cockpit through Web Service Consumers and Connectors.

Improved ability for WS Consumer to retrieve HTTP response codes

CIC Studio now makes it easier to access HTTP response codes and messages when working with WS Consumer objects. This can be beneficial when building business logic around a WS Consumer that requires HTTP status codes. See Retrieving HTTP response details with a Web Service Consumer (REST).

Fixes

Several issues have been addressed and fixed with this current release:

• Improved sizing of the Connector Vault Creation Wizard.

• Fixed an issue in which certain parameters used for searching in earlier versions of the Studio Auditor were not available in later versions.

• Added a null check for cases when an authorization server does not return their access_token response with a new refresh token.
• Fixed an issue in which trying to access the MSD365 API via the Connector caused an error
  (InvocationTargetException).
• Fixed an issue in which wrong methods were used being used in cases where an XML Schema had elements or attributes in the same level with the same name but different cases. For example id vs ID.
• Added logic to allow Stored Procedures to run successfully when 'begin tran' and 'commit' are used in the SQL Statement.

Multiple CIC Agents on a Single Server

NetSuite - Shopify

This Accelerator is designed to retrieve the Shopify orders at a specific interval and create the corresponding Standard Sales Order on NetSuite. Once the Orders/Items are fulfilled on the NetSuite, the corresponding Item Fulfillments are retrieved from the NetSuite and updated as a Shipment to the Shopify Order. 

TMW Truckmate - EDI X12 Load Tender-to-Invoice

Also called the L2I cycle, Load Tender-to-Invoice is how your business receives, processes, manages, and completes Load Tender requests. The flow begins with a tender and includes each step of the delivery and payment process. In this case, TMW Truckmate represents the backend system.

Accelerators contain prebuilt Schemas, Rulesets, Business Processes, and other resources used for development, deployment, and execution. This includes mapping tools specific to several business flows as part of the Accelerators. Finally, there are also resources necessary to display data in several Cockpit monitoring pages.

File System Endpoint Supports Remote File Systems 

File System Endpoints now allow you to access file servers configured as SMB file servers on the same intranet as your CIC Agent. This means you can use remote servers as destinations and targets for your File System Endpoints. See File System Endpoint.

Automatic/Extended File Transfer Retry Processing

When a file transfer send attempt fails, CIC now automatically retries the file transfer. This is especially helpful in cases where the cause of the failure is transient and temporary and only requires another attempt. In cases where the initial retry also fails, CIC continues to attempt retries on an extended cycle at intervals that increase to a maximum of 60 min. Data about the extended retry cycle is displayed on the Jobs List and Jobs Details page. See Retrying Failed File Transfer Attempts.

Fixed Issues

Several issues have been addressed and fixed with this current release:

• Fixed an issue with Message Tiles not loading properly for purchase orders when the PO number contained a forward slash.
• Fixed an issue with text and a button overlapping on the FA rejected message detail screen.

Note: By default, notification for expired certs is set to ON and notification for certs about to expire is set to OFF.

Trading Partner UI Enhancements

The Trading Partner UI has been enhanced to allow access to data for a single partner directly from the Network > Partner page. Drilling into a single partner's data allows you to view Activity Dashboard charts focused on the selected Partner and to update the Partner's profile. See Working with your list of Partners.

In addition, you can now delete Trading Partners directly from the Trading Partner list page. When you do so, the deleted Trading Partner's data is still accounted for in aggregate data and is displayed but greyed-out in the Messages pages. 

Azure Blob Connector

API Visibility in Job Details

As part of improved visibility for API and EDI integrations, the CIC Cockpit Jobs Details page now displays job details for API-driven integration (Business Process execution). Previously there was no visibility for Provider APIs. Customers would process orders via an API, but had no visibility as to whether they reached their backend systems. Now the Web Service Provider generates a Provider Endpoint (once deployed) and provides job details. (just like Consumer). This coincides with the ability to now create, define, and deploy Web Service Provider resources in the CIC Studio as part of API integration. 

New CIC Connector for Amazon S3

CIC now supports Amazon S3 as a source or destination Endpoint for ecosystem integrations. Like other Endpoint types, S3 Endpoints are defined within CIC while the actual data source resides outside of CIC. For reference information about S3 Endpoints, see S3 Endpoint.

Post-transfer Commands and Scripts

Data flows now support executing post-transfer commands and scripts for File System endpoints. Command output log data is included with the CIC log. See Working with Data Flows for more information.

Manual Retry Audit Trail

CIC now provides you with Job retry audit trail data that details who and how many times a Job is reprocessed. See "Retry" in Working With Jobs

• Note on Worksheet Binding (matching incoming data to Spreadsheet Schemas) Spreadsheet Schema behavior now supports an alternative to the typical matching of incoming data being received with spreadsheets. The matching, or binding, will still be based on the Worksheet Name field, however, if there is no match, then binding attempts will be by index. This reflects the order: Worksheet Name, then index – with no mixing of the two. This provides better flexibility as Customers don’t have to rely on actual static worksheet names.

• Using the same Transformation Settings (object) for outbound validation on the inbound transformation causes a Null Pointer Exception

  There’s an issue related to the EDI Validation that can occur if using the same Transformation Setting object to handle both inbound and outbound EDI validation. To fix: either disable validation on the Transformation Setting object, or create a separate Transformation Setting object for inbound with the validation disabled.
  
  Note: This only occurs if Projects that contain Transformation Settings with validation checked have been deployed since the v5.1.12 release.

The current release is 1.0.9. This release contains general enhancements and improvements, including infrastructure updates put in place to support future capabilities and development.

These enhancements and features are now available.

Job Failure Email Notifications

Job Failure Email Notifications, previously available only to self-service users, are now available to Managed-Service and Blended users. These notifications are enabled or disabled on a per-user basis. For information, see Enabling Notifications.

Manual Job Retry

Manual Job Retry has been enhanced to allow multiple jobs to be retried. In addition, the status of jobs being retried is updated in real-time.

Manually Add Partners

This release includes the ability to manually add partners to CIC in addition to having CIC auto-generate partners when initial transactions are received from the partner. 

Logging Enhancements

Log data displayed on the Jobs page now include details from the CIC Agent. This enhancement requires CIC Agent v1.0.8.

Add the Process number and Error details to tickets for Transformation/BP failures

As part of continued reductions to troubleshooting time and effort, the transformation job process number and error logs can be included in Zendesk tickets. This is done through the Cleo Cockpit Projects (CCP), which will append the process number and error logs to tickets or emails triggered from the inboundErrorCockpit and outboundErrorCockpit Business Processes. Initial configuration is required.

Examples of a ticket and a notification email showing the new information are shown here.

Reference Tables

You can now create Reference Tables for use during transformation processing, for example, cross-referencing specific parameters, like product ID, inventory attributes, values, and more. In addition, you manage your Reference Tables directly from within the CIC Cockpit.  See Creating a Reference Table and Viewing and Editing Reference Tables in CIC Cockpit.

Fixed Issues

• Fixed an issue in the Jobs UI (CIC Cockpit) where dates were not correctly formatted per the user's locale.
• Fixed an issue where certificates were not trusted for child job steps.

Trading Partner and Jobs Filtering

Similar to the existing Messages page, the Jobs page and Partner page now allow you to filter data using a custom time range where you can specify "to" and "from" date, time, and time zone.  The ability to specify a time zone is especially useful when users across different time zones need to view the same data. 

Simplified User Onboarding

This enhancement provides consolidated and intuitive control over setting up new users, defining permissions, and providing access to multiple Trading Partners.

CIC Studio Enhancements

SOAP Web Service Consumer

The Web Service Consumer object using the SOAP protocol now supports current Transformation Engine resources (V2 Rulesets and Schemas). This enables CIC to connect to applications through SOAP-based Web Service Integrations and enables SOAP XML to other format data transformation and vice-versa.

From the Studio UI perspective, the Web Service Consumer Wizard gives you the ability to create and define a Web Service Consumer using the SOAP protocol.

Fixes

• Fixed an issue where, when a trading partner sends a rejected functional acknowledgment (997), CIC Cockpit showed the job as failed even though related tickets showed closed status.
• Various fixes for logging, including logging errors instead of throwing exceptions in certain situations.

API Visibility

CIC Cockpit now provides end-to-end visibility for API-, application-, and database-based integrations configured in the CIC Studio. The enhanced capabilities around API visibility provide users with unified integration views across B2B and API dataflows. CIC Cockpit automatically generates Endpoints (in view-only mode) for these types of integrations and references these Endpoints on the Job List and Job Details pages.

Job List enhancements

The Job List page now displays a Job for any API, application, or database transaction and shows the state of specific Job interactions on Business Processes (BP) executed in the Integration Engine.

Job Details enhancements

The Job Details page now displays a Job for any API, application, or database transaction.  For these types of transactions, Job Details include Connection Numbers that link to top-level Business Process (BP) execution and EDI messages for the Transformation Endpoint (and any child Job steps, if available).

For API transactions, Job Details include the API query and path parameter values, all API invocations, and API request and response payloads.

Important Studio Update Note for certain Application Connectors

In order to take advantage of the end-to-end visibility for some Application Connectors built in previous Studio versions, an update to v5.1.4 or higher will be required. This applies to the Amazon Marketplace (AMP), Salesforce, and NetSuite Application Connectors.  Take these steps:

• Update CIC Studio to v5.1.4 or higher.
• Update the Connector Project using the Cloud Connector Update option in the Studio.
• Re-deploy all related Projects. 

CIC Cockpit Enhancements

• The Activity > Messages page Tile and Grid views now display updated icons for EDI messages.
• The work flow for managing access to partner data for Normal users has been refactored for better usability. See Managing Users.

CIC Cockpit Enhancements

• The CIC Cockpit UI has been refactored with respect to Partner Activity and user access to Partner data. 
  • Partner activity now displays on the Activity > Partners page instead of Network > Partners page. See Viewing Partner Activity.
  • Network > Partners page now displays a list of your partners by default. From this page, you can edit partner names (for the CIC UI only) and control which of your users have access to a partner’s data. See Controlling User Access to your Partners' Data.
• CIC now offers Scheduled Reports that use saved filtering criteria from the Activity page to generate reports that can be sent to registered CIC users. See Managing Scheduled Reports.
• Users can now sign up to receive Notifications when certain event types occur. Use your user profile to enable notifications for certain events and receive notifications by way of the email address associated with your user profile. See Enabling Notifications for Self-Service CIC Users.

CIC Studio Enhancements

• CIC Studio now provides the Microsoft Dynamics 365 SCM connector that lets you build integrations to connect and integrate data into this popular backoffice system. The new CIC Connector supports both cloud and on-premise versions of Microsoft Dynamics 365 SCM application. See Connector Overview - Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• The Schedules view, which had been removed from the previous Studio version, is now available in the Admin Console Perspective. This view provides a calendar view showing all deployed Process Schedules on a yearly, monthly, weekly, or daily basis. Users can also see a list of scheduled processes. This works in conjunction with the Process Schedule object, which allows you to assign a specific Business Process and determine when and how often it will execute. See Schedules View.
• Users can now change the time zone in the Schedule view. This allows coordination between the time zone where the actual Process Schedule deployment might occur and the design-time default time zone.

• Fixed an issue with time-based filtering in Messages Tile view. 
• Fixed an issue in Messages Tile view and List view where, for tiles or list entries with the same message ID displayed adjacent to each other, trading partner IDs were not always updated properly.

CIC Cockpit Enhancements

• CIC object naming infrastructure has been enhanced to help ensure object name uniqueness.

CIC Studio

CIC Studio is the desktop extension of CIC - Cloud Edition that allows you to design, build, optimize, and deploy business process orchestrations, maps, and integrations. 

• Users can now download CIC Studio from the Integrations > Studio Download screen.
• Users can now restart the CIC Integration Engine from the Admin > Systems screen.

CIC Cockpit

• For self-service implementations, users are now able to update issue resolution status themselves through CIC Cockpit. 
• Issue resolution status icons were added for Messages and Jobs. 
• Live Job progress was removed from the Data Flow configuration page. For Job status information, go to the Activity > Jobs page. 
• The user can view the certificate used by an endpoint in a job and decide whether or not to trust it for future Jobs. This is commonly supported in a scenario where a Job may fail due to an untrusted certificate.
• A more durable, scalable architecture for Job processing has been implemented. Benefits include:
  • More detailed insight into Job status. 
  • More detailed Jobs information, with improvements to end-to-end visibility and troubleshooting.
• The CIC Studio Connection Number is now included in Job details to link Jobs to CIC Studio Auditor logs.

CIC Agent

• The CIC Cockpit can now determine whether an Access Point is active, not responding, or down. This enables better troubleshooting of CIC Agent issues and allows users to track the real-time status of Access Points directly in the CIC Cockpit via CIC Agent.

CIC Engine

• CIC now creates failed jobs for more inbound issues, for example, when the AS2-To/From header combination is not found or there is an FTP/SFTP user pre-upload/download issue.
• CIC now supports using native PGP private and public keys and SSH private keys directly instead of using keys wrapped in certificates. CIC also allows you to import PKCS#1, PKCS#8, OpenSSH key types.
• CIC Protocol Engine has been updated resulting in improvements in logging and general performance.

Security updates

• Removed product name and version from FTP server SYST response.
